The Bin is the practice-led research project underpinning The Bon, a new arts and health gallery in Gloucester. It gathers the field notes, negotiations and institutional clutter involved in building a new gallery, exploring what arts and health might mean through a curatorial and critically engaged lens. Led by artist and curator Holly Williams-Richards, the PhD examines the complexities and realities of creating a gallery between university, NHS and civic contexts, using the precarity, negotiations and challenges of gallery-building as material for critical enquiry.
